About Us
About
Our law firm, Jaramillo & Borcyckowski, Attorneys at Law, was initially established in 1992. Mr. Jaramillo and Mr. Borcyckowski have each been in private practice for more than thirty years. Dinah Hammond has been in private practice for more than twenty-five years. Mr. Borcyckowski is currently affiliated with the law firm as Of Counsel. The firm's attorneys have devoted most of their practice to personal injury matters, including motor vehicle negligence, wrongful death, premises liability (slip-and-fall / trip-and-fall injuries), insurance and injuries resulting from unsafe products. Our firm maintains an active litigation and trial practice and each attorney has tried several cases in Sacramento and surrounding communities. In those exceptional cases where a trial by jury is necessary, our law firm has the skill and experience to bring the case to court in an efficient and professional manner. Perhaps the most important part of our practice is focused on getting to know our clients and working with them to achieve their individual needs.
As is the case with any successful business, the best law firms and lawyers are those who take the time to learn the specific facts of a case that set it apart from other cases and also learn from the experiences of their clients who have placed their trust in their attorney's experience and reputation. We assist our clients in settling their property damage claims following traffic collisions as well as recovering out-of-pocket expenses such as medical bills and loss of wages. These losses frequently also include recovery of the future value of medical bills or loss of the ability to return to work. Sometimes, this means the injured person will require job counseling and retraining. Fortunately, our experience amounting to more than forty years of combined practice has acquainted us with many outstanding professionals upon whose expertise we are able to rely. Accordingly, we are able to refer our clients to vocational rehabilitation experts, counselors, physicians and surgeons, physical therapists and accident reconstruction experts. An initial discussion with us about your case is free of charge or obligation, and we only charge a fee if we're successful in recovering an award for you. We will not ask you to pay a retainer fee up front, because we recognize that most people cannot afford to do so. Our fees are based on a percentage of any recovery we make for you. This is called a contingent fee agreement.
